SAP has announced the Recruitment for Ramp-Up of SAP NetWeaver Single Sign-On 2.0. Ramp-Up is supposed to start soon, the General Availability is currently planned for Q4/2013.
SAP NetWeaver Single Sign-On 2.0 offers various feature enhancements and a tighter integration into the SAP NetWeaver environment. Three different SSO technologies are supported:
- Release 2.0 supports Kerberos for logging on to SAP systems with a Web browser (SPNEGO for ABAP)
- For heterogeneous (SAP and non-SAP) environments X.509 digital certificates can be used, an established and highly secure internet standard mechanism.
- Single Sign-On in heterogeneous, cloud-based and cross-company scenarios is possible with SAML tokens, which provide a secure and flexible option for federating identities across domains
